There is very little in life, which is as satisfying as eating food that you've grown yourself. Especially if what you've grown is something which is an entirely new taste or texture experience.
We have grown a great number of interesting edibles over the last few years, as well as foraging loads of tasty wild food. One of the easiest ways to find wilderness in an urban landscape is to grow or find new foods. Garden, allotment or windowsill, there's always a way to try something exciting and exotic.
Autumn Olive, Wood Sorrel, Mashua, Honeyberry, Toona, Chocolate Mint, Water Pepper, Oca, Guelder Rose...
These are just a few of the new tastes we have experienced in the last few years.
